So this is my first work using photo shop... EVER! but i guess it wasn't that bad. Back then I had no idea what to do for my cover and and back part of my note book... and I still don't know! I mean I like bearded dragons and one of these days I'll own one! The green apple... well I hate them, because I have a bad history with them! lol! So when I say "Worst thing In my life! The end!" I meant the apple not the note book!!

Lyrical Triptych

The assignment was to find a lyric and make a triptych out of it. In this triptych we had to find images that would symbolize lines in the lyric we choose. We had to use multiple images and at least use filter on one of them. We had to put lines in our triptych from our lyric, in any order we wanted. Each piece of the triptych had to be 7x5 or 5x7.
My triptych is something that I’m really happy with. If anything I guess it involves a lot of sad feelings, so it tends to be really depressing. This is due maybe to the fact that I chose the song “MY IMORTAL” from Evanescence. I use photo shop tools like the magnetic lasso, the polygonal lasso, I played with the eraser and its ability of opacity, also I used a filter called liquid. I used liquid to make the swirly effect to the light in the second piece of the triptych.
If anything I love the success I had with my triptych. I mean in my opinions my images were very meaning full and success full in bringing out the lyrics out. I feel that they all were all good of course ones were better than other. Like for example my first piece of the triptych had a mother holding her baby (fading into the blue sky) as if shielding it from something, or as if calming him down so the baby can stop crying.  This went with the first line that went “When you cry I’d wipe away all…of your fears.” Then on the bottom I had a picture of a grim reaper on a tricycle approaching a little girl in a field. This represented the line “ I’m so tired of… all my childish fear.” The whole mood is supposed to be sad.  I also feel like the whole thing has a story behind it, maybe a mother who lost her child?
I don’t really have experience with adobe photo shop, except for one time that I used it for a project in 11th grade (it didn’t really turn out that good) but I only use magnetic lasso. So this year is my really first time learning about photo shop, and it has been a pleasant experience! I really learn a lot and if anything photo shop is very fun, there is so many things you can do in it that it’s crazy! I love the fact that u can make and customize images, book cover, anything! If I ever have a chance too do something like this again I hope I am more dominant of photo shop by then. All that said I think I was very success full and the fact that I’m happy with it makes it better.
My magazine cover, which took me along time to finish due to procrastination. It was cool and... hmmm... fun...
